FYI....

Mickey and ate at Macaroni Grill last week. As you may know, there is always a huge bottle of olive oil on the tables for bread dipping. I told her how Greece was full of olive trees....everywhere you look in the country side is full of olive trees. She then pondered..."What makes it EXTRA virgin? That sounds kind of nasty." Well, you know me, I just had to find out.

So, to end the suspence....

Extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) comes from cold pressing of the olives, contains no more than 0.8% acidity, and is judged to have a superior taste. Extra-virgin and virgin olive oil may not contain refined oil.
Virgin olive oil has an acidity less than 2%, and is judged to have a good taste.

There you have it!

Another useful tidbit for the day that I remember from High School Zoology is that Ostiechthyes is the class for bony fish in scientific classification. It is pronounced "aus-tee-ick-thees." Thanks Ms. Fisher.

Here is my Chairdrobe.....hey, just keeping it honest. Actually most of the mound is made up of the green cover pillows from my bed, so it is not THAT bad. (And yes, that is the closet right behind it!)

Here is Spike's posse...they are bad! There is Platypus, Snowman, Chipmunk, Woobie (he is a pig I think), Gorilla (has no stuffing left), and Lion. Not sure where Squirrel is, probably wrapped up in my sheets! Love that dog.

Hey - I have been having computer problems...but I am back now.

Rayray went to South Carolina this past weekend to a music festival. I received her bank statement on Saturday and it was down to $200. I wanted her to know not to go crazy spending a lot of money on her trip because I could not replenish funds until Monday.

Forgot the memory card again! Sorry. Big Brother finale was last night....Tim, nor Jenfer or I can get the time right for that show. We totally missed last Tuesday's show thinking it came on at 8:00. Ran inside and it was going off...it had come on at 7:00. Went to Jenfer's for dinner (thanks so much) and to watch at 7:00....DIDN'T COME ON UNTIL 8:00. I told them we should be glad it's over since we couldn't keep up with the time.

Anyway, congratulations Dan....I knew you would win! Not a single jurer (out of 7) voted for Memphis. Yea!
