SOUTHERN FRIED THURSDAY

Being Southern doesn’t mean I am not educated.  I may say “ain’t” and “y’all” and call you “sweetie” or “honey.”  I might “bless a lot of hearts,” and I might even “piddle around.”  I will greet you with “Hey” and a hug.  All soda pop is “Coke” and I might refer to my grocery cart as a “buggy.”  By golly, that’s OK.  I am polite and say “Ma’am” and “Sir.”  We are kind.  We are caring.  We are loyal.  We are proud to be Southern, love Southern food and love the South.

WHAT'S IN MY PURSE WEDNESDAY

Or, should I ask "What's in my New Purse Wednesday?"  Yep, got a new purse, wallet and key chain on Saturday while shopping for Rayray an interview suit.  Now, you might ask, "Is this really blog worthy?"  My answer is yes.  As little as I have been blogging this is big news.  This is my 3rd blog this week...trying to get myself back in the game...so take what you can get!

Love!

USELESS INFO TUESDAY

~  In September 1971, Steven Spielberg directed the first episode of "Columbo," the TV police drama that starred Peter Falk.

~  The catfish's body is almost completely covered with taste buds.  Even a catfish just six inches long has more than 250,000 taste buds.

~  There are 454 bills in a pound of US currency.  Any US bill, regardless of denomination, weighs a gram.  There are 454 grams to a pound.

~  The largest edible fruit NATIVE to North America is the pawpaw.  It tastes like a blend of banana, mango, and pineapple.

~  The movie "Charro" was the only one of Elvis Pressley's 31 films in which he had a non-singing role.

GRAY, BLACK AND WHO?

Had a great time Saturday night listening to the boys at "About That Time."  Thanks so much to Laura #2, AndyRandy, and Brit for coming out.  The fun really started after all the regular patrons left and the boys had finished playing.  Their friends got up and started playing "music" and "singing."

Brittnaynay and KD even got up and had a little fun.  It was fun watching these kids who grew up together goof off!

And look....Graybear even got a little funky!  Love these kids.  They keep me young.

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN....

...watching them....

...and watching them on Saturday Night!

Jenfer and I had a blast listening to Gray, Black and White at the Brick on Saturday.  But, it was just as much fun to watch our daughters Brittnaynay and Rayray!  They have known each other since they were four years old.  It was such a hoot!  We are so lucky to be blessed with two smart, beautiful and sweet little girls!

And girls remember....It was your Mommas who took you to your first Atlanta Braves game!  Not your Daddys!

Best quote of the night...Rachel to Brittney...

"Are we really fixin' to dance with Chris Ingrams' Dad?  Really?"

Love you girls!

Special Thanks

I want to thank all of my friends who supported be through the long, long process of auctioning Mom's house.  Thanks for all the times you listened to me whine.  Thanks for working in the house cleaning it up and packing.  Thanks for moving Mom and unpacking her....twice.  Thanks for the support during the auction.

I have said it before and will say it again....I have the best friends in the WORLD!

Love.

TICK TOCK

Went to Mom's last night with the Big Dawes.  I needed to pick up a few things that remained there.  One was my Grandfather Lawrence's clock.  Got the clock but forgot something in the process.  Here is a poem L BigDawes wrote for me:

There once was a lady named Polly

She had this big Clock! Oh my golly..

It wasn’t for sale,

LL took for herself

But the pendulum is what she forgotty!
